So what’s included in the Basic package?

Marine VHF base station is inspected for wear and tear paying particular attention to cabling. Antenna where accessible is physically examined for damage. Output and Reflected Powers are measured using the latest test equipment confirming that the radio is within spec. Cabling and antenna are tested with VSWR meter to confirm antenna is functioning correctly.

Handheld VHF Radios (Max. 2) will be inspected for wear and tear paying particular attention to antenna and charging points. Batteries, both starting and domestic will be put through their paces checking cold cranking amperage as well as both the charge and discharge cycle of the batteries ensuring that the owner knows exactly the condition of their batteries before they head to sea.

A comprehensive report will be provided to the owner on completion, recording all results and where necessary, indicating any items that may need further attention with Mariteq Solutions giving advice and assistance in getting you back to sea safely.

Advanced Boat Electronics Health Check

So what’ extras do I get if I choose the Advanced package?

In addition to all of the above checks carried out as part of the Basic package, the advance package will also include the following checks.

Chartplotters/GPS, units will all be tested to confirm system condition including correct data streams, HDOP, antenna condition and confirming optimum location for antenna is being used. All cabling will also be inspected.

Multi Function Displays and AIS units will all be tested to confirm system condition including correct data streams, antenna condition and confirming optimum location for antenna is being used. All cabling will also be inspected.

Sarts, EPIRBs, PLBs and Flares will all be checked for condition and expiration dates. Where safety units have a built in self test, they will be tested as per manufacturers instructions.

Batteries, both starting and domestic will be put through their paces checking cold cranking amperage as well as Maximum Load Tests of the batteries.

Alternator will be checked using the latest test equipment to confirm that it is operating correctly providing the correct voltage and current.

Starter test is also conducted to confirm correct function and impact on batteries.

A comprehensive report will be provided to the owner on completion, indicating any items that may need further attention with Mariteq Solutions giving advice and assistance in getting you back to sea safely.
